5 You know that he appeared in order to take away our sins and in him there is no sin. 6 Anyone who remains in him does not sin. The person who keeps on sinning has not seen him or known him.

7 Dear children, do not let anyone deceive you. Whoever does what is right is righteous just as Jesus[a] is righteous.
